Tripura CM Dr Manik Saha Announces Rs. 5 Lakh Ex-Gratia for Family of Late Angel Chakma, Assures Justice

Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Wednesday expressed deep grief over the tragic death of Angel Chakma and reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to justice and humanitarian support for the bereaved family.

In a post shared on social media, the Chief Minister informed that he spoke with Pushkar Singh Dhami, Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, regarding the case of late Angel Chakma. During the conversation, CM Dhami assured that all those involved in the incident would be brought to justice and that the law would take its due course.

Describing the moment as one of profound grief, Dr Saha said the Government of Tripura stands firmly with the bereaved family. As a humanitarian gesture, the state government has decided to provide a one-time financial assistance of Rs. 5 lakh to the family of the deceased.

The Chief Minister’s announcement has been widely appreciated as a compassionate step during a painful time, reflecting the government’s resolve to support citizens in distress while ensuring accountability and justice.
