Two more arrested in Tripura delivery boy murder case

Tripura Police have arrested two more accused in connection with the murder of delivery boy Prasenjit Sarkar, marking a significant breakthrough in the case, officials said on Saturday. The arrests were made from areas under Churaibari police station. The accused were identified as Meghdeep Bhattacharjee, 24, a resident of Middle Naya Para in Dharmanagar, and Piu Dhar, 22. Police said the case was registered at Dharmanagar police station under Case No. 2025DMN122 dated December 14, 2025, under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Both accused were produced before the Dharmanagar District and Sessions Court, which remanded them to judicial custody till December 30. With this, all five accused in the case are now in custody. Further investigation is continuing, police added.
