4 IAS Officers Transferred in Major Administrative Reshuffle in Tripura, Mihir Gop Appointed Additional Commissioner of AMC

In a significant administrative reshuffle aimed at strengthening urban governance and district administration, the Tripura Government on Tuesday transferred and reassigned four IAS officers with immediate effect.
According to a notification issued by the General Administration (Personnel & Training) Department, Shri Mihir Kanti Gop, IAS, presently serving as Commissioner of the Tripura Urban Development Authority (TUDA), has been entrusted with additional responsibilities. He has been appointed as the Additional Commissioner of the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC). In addition, he will also hold the charge of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Tripura Jal Board, and Additional Commissioner, Agartala Municipal Commissioner, further consolidating his role in key urban infrastructure and civic service delivery.
In another important posting, Shri Gudlavath Sharath Nayak, IAS, CEO of Ayushman Bharat in Tripura, has been assigned several additional responsibilities. Along with his existing charge, he will now serve as Executive Secretary, THPS, State Mission Director, ABDM, and will also take charge as CEO and Managing Director of Agartala Smart City Limited, strengthening the state’s flagship health and smart city initiatives.
Meanwhile, Shri Dilip Kumar Chakma, Additional Secretary in the Urban Development Department, has been relieved of his additional charges as Municipal Commissioner, Agartala Municipal Corporation, and as CEO and Managing Director of Agartala Smart City Limited, following the new assignments.
In the district administration, Shri Sagar Sobhani Debnath, IAS, Chief Engineer of the Rural Development Department, has been transferred and posted as the Additional District Magistrate & Collector (PPs), Unakoti District, headquartered at Kailashahar.
The government stated that the transfers have been made in the interest of public service and will remain effective until further orders. The reshuffle is expected to improve administrative coordination, urban governance, and the implementation of key development programmes across Tripura.
