Traffic department issue advisory for commuters tomorrow in view of Tipra Motha’s rally in the Swami Vivekananda ground

Amidst underlying tension among people of Agartala over tomorrow’s Tipra Motha rally in the Swami Vivekananda ground the state administration is taking all possible measure with heavy deployment of police and paramilitary forces to maintain law and order and ensue a peaceful rally. A number of tribal leaders from northeastern states like Sikkim, Nagaland, Bodo Land of Assam and Meghalaya are expected to attend and address the meeting though the main speakers will be Motha supremo Pradyot Kishore and chief minister of Meghalaya Conrad Sangma.
Besides the deployment of security forces by the administration, the traffic department of state police have also issued an advisory for commuters and vehicles on certain roads in and around the state capital . The commuters and vehicles have been asked to move along the notified routes tomorrow to avoid inconvenience in view of the rally to be organised by the Tipra Motha.
The suggested alternative routes are as follows :-
1) AD Nagar-Fly-Over-Fire Service Chaumuhuni-Ker Chaumuhuni-Sankar Chaumuhuni-Durga Chaumuhuni-Albert Club-Moilakhola Crossing-Barjala Crossing-Bholagiri Road-Panchabati Crossing-MBB Airport,
2) GBP Hospital-GB/Indranagar Road Crossing-Indranagar Bridge-Dhaleswar Post Office-Joyguru Crossing-Muth Chaumuhuni-Old Motor Stand-Bank Chaumuhuni-HGB Road-Fly-over-AD Nagar-Hapania,
3) GBP Hospital-SDO Chaumuhuni-Don Bosco School-Banikya Chaumuhuni-Khayerpur Crossing
The commuters and vehicle drivers and owners have been advised to use these routes in stead of shorter and traditional routes.
