Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha Presents Awards to Best-Performing Blocks and Districts for Excellence in Rural Development

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha today felicitated the best-performing Blocks and Districts of Tripura for their outstanding achievements in rural development and good governance. The award ceremony was held at Pragna Bhavan, Agartala, in the presence of officials and employees of the Rural Development Department.As announced by the Chief Minister, the Best Performing RD Blocks are: Raishyabari RD Block (Dhalai), Karbook RD Block (Gomati), Teliamura RD Block (Khowai), Kalacherra RD Block (North Tripura), Mohanbhog RD Block (Sepahijala), Jolaibari RD Block (South Tripura), Chandipur RD Block (Unakoti), Lefunga RD Block (West Tripura).The Best Performing Districts were also recognised: First North Tripura, Second Unakoti, Third West Tripura.Dr. Saha congratulated all award-winning Blocks and Districts, appreciating their dedication, commitment, and contribution to improving rural infrastructure, livelihoods, and service delivery across the state.During the programme, the Chief Minister praised the relentless efforts of the officers and staff of the Rural Development Department for significantly improving living standards, social dignity, and basic amenities in rural and hilly regions of Tripura.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister reiterated that the present government is committed to ensuring that every welfare benefit and service reaches the last person in society.Continuing the state’s development initiatives, Dr. Saha launched the Gram Sampark Yojana and Mukhyamantri Tripura Gram Samriddhi Yojana 2.0 during the event. He also participated in a Griha Pravesh programme organised as part of the ceremony.The Chief Minister urged Tripura Civil Service officers, many of whom hail from rural backgrounds, to stay closely connected with their villages. He encouraged them to identify local challenges and take prompt action for their resolution. “The overall development of the state is impossible without the development of its villages,” Dr. Saha said.

Highlighting recent achievements, Dr. Saha informed that the Rural Development Department of Tripura has recently received Rs. 10 crore from the Central Government for its remarkable performance in seven awards. He credited this success to the sincerity, dedication, and coordinated efforts of the state’s officers and employees.
