Three TPS Officers Promoted to IPS in Tripura

The Government of India has approved the promotion of three Tripura Police officers, Sharmistha Chakraborty, Nabadweep Jamatia, and Rauthlunga Jamatia to the rank of IPS. The official notification was released by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday.However, the promotions will be subject to the outcome of an ongoing Supreme Court case related to the recruitment of these officers. The notification further mentioned that the final status of their IPS cadre appointment will depend on the verdict of the concerned case.
