Sudhangshu urges swift execution of ARD schemes in Tripura

Tripura Animal Resource Development Minister Sudhangshu Das on Wednesday chaired the second-round state-level review meeting of the department, issuing firm directions to officials to ensure timely completion of projects and transparent delivery of welfare schemes. The meeting, held at the department’s Conference Hall at Gurkhabasti, examined a wide range of matters related to project execution, financial utilisation and the overall functioning of ARD initiatives.

After the review, the Minister told reporters that the session evaluated the department’s performance, including fund allocation for the 2025–26 financial year, progress under various schemes, ongoing projects and the gap between funds received and additional requirements needed for their scheduled completion. He stressed that such assessments are vital for maintaining accountability and improving efficiency.

A major part of the discussions centred on the Unnata Godhan Prakalp, with officials reviewing its current status and identifying steps to strengthen its implementation. The department’s annual vaccination programme was also reviewed.

Das instructed officials to prioritise smooth doorstep delivery of welfare schemes and uphold transparency in all services. Secretary Deepa D Nair, Director Neeraj Kumar Chanchal and senior officials attended the meeting.
