Tripura Film and Television institute introduce post-graduate certificate course

The Tripura Film and Television Institute (TFTI) has for the first time this year introduced a one year post-graduate certificate course on film and video editing and screen acting. An official press note issued by the ICA department said that since launching in the year 2022-2023 the TFTI, only institute of its kind in the state, has been running courses for students on news anchoring, film appreciation, screen acting, production management, script writing , digital editing , sound recording and designing. All these courses are of short duration.

The TFTI was launched on November 28 2022 in the government run Nazrul Kala Kshetra campus in Banamalipur area . This was launched as a joint venture of the department of information and culture of the state government and Calcutta based Satyajit Roy fillm and television institute. This institute has already achieved major success in imparting courses on and training students in film and television works in all aspects.
