CM Dr. Manik Saha Inaugurates Major AMRUT 2.0 Water Infrastructure, Calls It a Milestone for Agartala’s Development

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha today described the day as a significant milestone for the residents of Agartala, highlighting the government’s proactive efforts toward accelerating Tripura’s development initiatives.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony held in the courtyard of Rabindra Centenary Bhavan, the Chief Minister launched forty-five deep tube wells and twenty-seven iron removal plants under the AMRUT 2.0 project. He emphasized that this achievement reflects the state government’s commitment to ensuring improved civic services for urban populations.

During his address, Dr. Saha informed that a total of two hundred and six kilometers of new pipeline connections have been integrated under the project. As a result, sixteen thousand two hundred and twenty-four households have already received direct access to clean drinking water.

He added that this expanded water supply network will play a crucial role in strengthening Agartala’s urban water distribution system and ensuring reliable potable water services for citizens.
