In a surprising revelation from the upcoming Job Fair organized by the Government of Tripura’s Employment Services & Manpower Planning Department, both 8th passed security guards and graduate-level officers are being offered the same salary of Rs. 9,000 per month.
The job fair, scheduled for November 18, 2025, will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ground Floor, Shrama Bhawan, Office Lane, Agartala, West Tripura. The event is being conducted under the National Career Service (NCS), aiming to connect unemployed youths of Tripura with reputed private companies.
According to the official notification, several private employers will participate in the fair, including Reliance Nipon Life Insurance Pvt. Ltd., PhonePe Limited, Satin Creditcare Network Ltd., Progressive Automobiles Pvt. Ltd., and Swamiji Security Agency.
Among the listed vacancies, Reliance Nipon Life Insurance Pvt. Ltd. is offering Rs. 9,000 per month to graduate females for the post of Life Planning Officer and Apprentice Life Planning Officer. Meanwhile, Swamiji Security Agency is also offering the same Rs. 9,000 per month salary to 8th pass candidates for Security Guard posts creating an unusual parity in pay between the lowest and higher educational levels.
Other notable offers include: PhonePe Limited offering up to Rs. 21,000 plus incentives for Retail Team Leaders (RTL) and Rs. 17,000 plus travel allowance for Business Development Executives (BDE).
Satin Creditcare Network Ltd. recruiting Trainee CSOs and Community Service Officers within Tripura with salaries between Rs. 15,250 and Rs. 17,000.

The Employment Department has advised jobseekers to carry all essential documents, including PRTC, NCS Card, PAN Card/Voter ID, and educational certificates, for on-spot verification and registration.
Officials clarified that the initiative aims to provide immediate employment opportunities to the state’s unemployed youths through direct interaction with private recruiters. However, the identical salary structure for both highly educated candidates and those with minimal qualifications has sparked discussions on the fairness and effectiveness of private sector wage practices in Tripura.
The Model Career Centre, Agartala (District Employment Exchange, West Tripura), under the Directorate of Employment Services & Manpower Planning, is coordinating the event, encouraging candidates to participate and seize the employment opportunities being presented.
