One constable of police Mangal Saha has been sentenced to three years of rigorous imprisonment for marrying a second time hiding his first marriage. Gobinda Das, District and Sessions Judge of Belonia delivered the verdict and imposed a fine of Rs one lakh on him.
Mangal Saha (45) was posted at Baihkora Police station when he married a 30-year-old girl Pinki Choudhury of Krishnanagar in Belonia. The marriage was solemnized in a house at Jolaibari. After one year Mangal was transferred to another place and started snapping the relation with Pinki.
Things took a new turn when Pinki came to know that Mangal was married earlier and he had his wife and a son in his paternal home at Joykatpur under Belonia Police Station.
