Tripura to Launch ‘Cyber Bharat Setu’ and New Cyber Security Policy 2025 to Strengthen Digital Safety Framework

In a landmark step towards fortifying digital resilience and promoting a secure cyberspace, the Directorate of Information Technology, Government of Tripura, is set to inaugurate Cyber Bharat Setu under the theme Bridging States, Securing Bharat. The event will also mark the official launch of the Tripura Cyber Security Policy 2025 (TCSP 2.0) and the Tripura Cyber Security Awareness Month Campaign (TCSAM 2025).

The grand launch ceremony will be held at Hall No. 1, Pragna Bhavan, Agartala, on 11th November 2025 at 9:30 AM, with Shri S. Krishnan, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The programme will also witness the august presence of Shri Jitendra Kumar Sinha, IAS, Chief Secretary, Government of Tripura; Shri Anurag, IPS, Director General of Police, Tripura, Shri Kiran Gitte, IAS, Secretary, Information Technology, Government of Tripura; and Dr. Sanjay Bahl, Director General, CERT-In, MeitY, Government of India.

Organized by the Directorate of Information Technology, Government of Tripura, in collaboration with CERT-In, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, the initiative aims to foster a stronger cyber security ecosystem in Tripura and across the country.

The Cyber Bharat Setu initiative is envisioned to connect states under a unified cyber defense strategy, enabling enhanced coordination, awareness, and proactive response to digital threats. The Tripura Cyber Security Policy 2025 (TCSP 2.0) introduces upgraded frameworks for data protection, cyber resilience, and public awareness, aligning with the national cyber strategy.

The Tripura Cyber Security Awareness Month (TCSAM 2025) campaign will further engage citizens, government officials, and institutions through training, outreach, and capacity-building programmes to strengthen cyber hygiene and preparedness at all levels.

Speaking about the event, Shri Jeya Ragul Geshan B, IFS, Director, IT, Government of Tripura, emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between the State and the Centre to create a safe and secure digital environment for all.

The Directorate of IT has extended a cordial invitation to all stakeholders, professionals, and media representatives to attend and support this significant national initiative for wider reach and awareness.
