Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on Monday expressed deep concern over the disappointing results of the recent semester examinations in the state’s medical colleges. Speaking at an event at GBP Hospital, Agartala, the Chief Minister said that the matter has already been taken seriously, and the Health Secretary has been instructed to look into it immediately.
> “This situation cannot continue. The issue must be examined thoroughly and appropriate measures must be taken at the earliest,” said Dr. Saha.
The Chief Minister was addressing the gathering during the foundation stone laying ceremony of CCB, CDC, and Special Ward at GBP Hospital, and the digital launching of the Telemedicine Linkage with SGPGI, Lucknow and Inter Departmental Referral System (IDRS).
Dr. Saha stated that the government’s continued efforts and commitment to improving the health infrastructure at Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) and GBP Hospital have yielded significant results, particularly by reducing the number of patient referrals outside the state.
