Himanshu Jha alias Sonu Brought to Agartala from Delhi in Jirania Fencing Scam Case, Arun Kumar Ghosh also arrested from Kolkata

In a major development in the Jirania drugs scam case, the Crime Branch on Monday brought accused Himanshu Jha alias Sonu from Delhi to Agartala via a noon flight. The accused was taken into custody earlier in connection with the multi-layered corruption case involving Escaf Syrup in the Jirania Railway Station.

According to police sources, another accused, Arun Kumar Ghosh, has already been arrested from Kolkata in connection with the same case. However, he has not yet been brought to Tripura. Officials informed that he will soon be produced before the Agartala court after obtaining transit remand.

With these arrests, the Crime Branch has so far apprehended three persons linked to the Jirania fencing scam, marking a significant step forward in the ongoing investigation.
