CM Dr. Manik Saha to Lay Foundation Stone for New Medical Infrastructure at AGMC & GBP Hospital Tomorrow

In a major stride towards strengthening Tripura’s healthcare infrastructure, Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha will lay the foundation stone tomorrow for the construction of a new Critical Care Block (CCB), Communicable Disease Centre (CDC), and Special Ward at the GBP Hospital, Agartala. The ceremony will be held tomorrow  morning 11 am at the KLS Auditorium of Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) and GBP Hospital, marking a significant step in enhancing advanced medical services and patient care facilities across the state.
The event will also witness the digital inauguration of the Telemedicine Linkage between AGMC & GBP Hospital and Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI), Lucknow, as well as the launch of the Inter-Departmental Referral System (IDRS), a digital platform aimed at improving coordination and efficiency in patient management and interdepartmental consultations.
Smt. Mina Rani Sarkar, MLA and Chairperson of RKS, AGMC & GBP Hospital, will attend the program as the Guest of Honour. Several key dignitaries are expected to grace the occasion, including Shri Kiran Gitte, IAS, Secretary of the Health & Family Welfare Department; Shri Prasada Rao, IFS, CEO & Member Secretary, TPGS; Prof. (Dr.) H.P. Sharma, Director of Medical Education; Saju Vaheed A, IAS, Mission Director, NHM; and Shri Jeya Ragal Geshan B, IFS, Director of IT, Government of Tripura.
Other eminent guests include Prof. (Dr.) Tapan Majumdar, Director of Health Services; Dr. Anjan Das, Director of Health & Family Welfare; and Shri Sanjeev Kumar Janjua, ED-Asset Manager, ONGC Tripura Asset. The program will also be attended by Prof. (Dr.) Anup Kr. Saha, Principal of AGMC, and Dr. Sankar Chakrabarti, Medical Superintendent & HOD, AGMC & GBP Hospital.
The event is being organized under the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Sanjib Kr. Debbarma, Organizing Chairman, and Prof. (Dr.) Abhijit Datta, Organizing Secretary.
