CM Dr. Manik Saha to Distribute Toolkits to Skilled Bru Candidates at State-Level Ceremony in Dhalai on November 6

The Directorate of Skill Development under the Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Tripura, is organizing a State-Level Toolkit Distribution Ceremony for Bru Skilled Candidates on November 6, 2025, at Chailengta Bazar Playground, located under Manu RD Block, Dhalai District.

The event will be graced by Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, Chief Minister of Tripura, as the Chief Guest.

Minister Smt. Santana Chakma (Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Tripura) and Shri Brishaketu Debbarma, MoS, Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Tripura, will attend the ceremony as Special Guests.

The event will also be attended by several dignitaries as Guests of Honour, including Shri Kiran Gitte, IAS, Secretary, Department of Industries & Commerce; Smt. Sushmita Das, Zila Sabhadhipati, Dhalai District; Shri Sambhulal Chakma, Member of Tripura Legislative Assembly; Shri Vivek H. B., IAS, DM & Collector, Dhalai District; and Shri Pradeep K., IAS, Director, Directorate of Skill Development, Government of Tripura.

This initiative is part of the state government’s continued efforts to empower the rehabilitated Bru (Reang) community through skill development and livelihood support. The toolkit distribution aims to provide self-employment opportunities to trained Bru youths, ensuring their integration into the state’s workforce and promoting sustainable development in tribal areas.

The Directorate of Skill Development, Government of Tripura, has extended a cordial invitation to all stakeholders and beneficiaries to attend the ceremony and witness this milestone event that reinforces the government’s commitment to inclusive growth and skill-based empowerment in the state.
