State administration gearing up to face Finance Commission reaching here on January 29 for a three day visit

The state administration is gearing up to face the 16th Finance Commission that is arriving here on January 29 in a three day tour. Apart from meeting the stat government officials, the team also will have meeting with the Agartala Municipal Corporation and the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council.

The team is headed by the Vice-Chairman Arvind Panagariya. Four other members are Ajoy Narayan Jha, secretary of the 15th Finance Commission and members Smt Annie George, Niranjan Rajadhyksha and Soumya Kanti Ghosh.

Chief Secretary J K Sinha has already had a meeting with the secretaries of all the departments and instructed to prepare reports to preset the case of the state in best way. Accordingly the departmental officers are having reglar meetings.

The team also will visit the Nakel Kunj in Dmabur lake, Chabimura and the Tripreswari Temple in Udaipur.
