Tripura Gramin Bank employees threatened to revive Dharmaghat culture

The culture of Dharmaghat is going to return in Tripura Gram Bank as the four employees organizations are preparing to go for series of strikes with increasing intensity. The organisations said they will hold a one day strike on January 27 and then a two day strike in February and ultimately for an indifferent strike in March.

The program was announced on Saturday when they organised a joint demonstration in front of the Gramin Bank Head Quarter at Abhaynagar. Over three hundred employees and officers participated in the demonstration in support of their ten point charter of demands.

The charter of demands includes a proper loan system, regular salary of th DRW employees, improvement of infrastructure were there in the charter of demands but it is learned that some changes in the bank’s transfer policy was the immediate provocation for the agitation.
