‘Mata Tripureshwari’ temple all decked up for the ‘Deepavali’ festival, security in place for fair and festival

The historic temple of ‘Mata Tripureshwari’ is all decked up for the three day ‘Deepavali’ festival and special ‘Puja’ of the Mother Goddess, presiding deity in the temple, commencing from today. The fair and festival will formally begin from this afternoon and will continue till October 22, that is Wednesday. Sources from Udaipur said that the chief minister Dr Manik Saha will formally inaugurate the fair and festival around 3-00 in the afternoon in presence of minister for finance Pranjit Singharoy , MLA Abhishek Debroy and other VIPs including senior officials . Both finance minister Pranjit Singharoy and Abhishek Debroy hail from Udaipur , representing R.K.Pur and Matabari constituencies in the assembly.
Sources said that preparation is almost complete for the ‘Puja’ and festival and only finishing touches are being put now. The ‘Puja’ will begin as per ‘Tithi’ (auspicious day and moment) according to alamanac and this will be accompanied by fireworks and lighting outside the temple. This will however be preceded by the commencement of the fair and cultural programme in the afternoon.
Security has been highly beefed up with deployment of police and TSR jawans in and around the temple complex. A number of help desks , posting of Fire Brigade vans and ambulances have been put in place close to the fair ground around the Kalyan Sagar lake and the temple complex. There will also be constant CCTV suriveillance in the fair to monitor the movement of people to and from the fair ground to further tighten the overall security arrangement. The SP (south) Kiran Kumar K. and his junior officers have been keeping strict watch on the entire fair ground, temple complex and the foolproof security arrangement made and the security jawans already deployed are under strict vigil of officers so that they perform their duties in a dedicated manner.
