CM Dr. Manik Saha Meets Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Delhi, Seeks Higher Ceiling for Externally Aided Projects

Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, during his visit to New Delhi yesterday, met Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman and discussed key financial matters concerning the state’s development.

In the meeting, Dr. Saha emphasized the urgent need to enhance the ceiling limit of Externally Aided Projects (EAPs), noting that several important initiatives under the Urban Development, Tourism, and Agartala Municipal Corporation sectors are currently facing delays due to the existing ceiling restrictions. The Chief Minister urged the Union Finance Minister to consider revising the limit to facilitate faster implementation of these crucial projects.

During his Delhi tour, Dr. Saha also met Shri B.L. Santhosh, National General Secretary (Organisation) of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), at the party headquarters. The two leaders discussed various organizational matters concerning the party’s activities in Tripura and the upcoming political strategies.

Sources indicated that the Chief Minister is likely to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and several other central ministers to discuss urgent development project issues related to Tripura.

It is also learned that Dr. Manik Saha may travel to Bihar soon to take part in the upcoming Assembly election campaign on behalf of his party.
