Week-long Shrimad Bhagavat Katha Begins at Radha Madhav Jiu Temple, Vrindavan, Devotees from Assam, Tripura, Manipur, Meghalaya, and Bangladesh Gather in Large Numbers

The sacred Shri Shri Radha Madhav Jiu Temple, situated at the holy Radha Kunda in Vrindavan, has become the spiritual hub for thousands of devotees arriving from Assam, Tripura, Manipur, Meghalaya, and neighboring Bangladesh. On the occasion of the auspicious Kartik Niyam Month, a week-long Shrimad Bhagavat Parayan Jnana Yajna commenced today and will continue until October 18, 2025.

The temple, with a glorious history of nearly 159 years, was founded by the revered Pundarikaksha Sharma of Pratapgarh Pargana in Assam. Since its establishment, the temple has been a sacred center for the Bishnupriya Manipuri community, serving as a spiritual destination for devotees from across the northeastern states of India and beyond.

The temple and its daily rituals are managed by the Shri Dham Radha Kunda Sthita Shri Shri Radha Madhav Jiu Seba Parichalana Samiti, the highest religious organization of the Bishnupriya Manipuri community. The committee, a legally registered trust, oversees the temple’s regular worship, arrangements for visiting pilgrims, and other devotional services. The temple’s maintenance and activities are funded through Madhukari contributions, voluntary offerings collected from Bishnupriya Manipuri households.

To mark the beginning of the week-long Bhagavat Parayan Yajna, a grand Kalash Yatra was held on October 11, 2025. Devotees, including local Brajbasi Mayas of Radha Kunda, temple sebayats, officials of the Samiti, residents of nearby Kunjas, and pilgrims from Assam, Tripura, and Bangladesh, participated in the spiritual procession with great devotion.

Throughout the week, the temple premises will resonate with the recitation of the Shrimad Bhagavatam, devotional singing, and spiritual discourses. The event aims to inspire devotion, moral upliftment, and spiritual enlightenment among the participants during the sacred month of Kartik, considered one of the holiest periods in the Vaishnava tradition.

The organizers have expressed gratitude to all devotees for their participation and invited everyone to seek the divine blessings of Shri Shri Radha Madhav Jiu during this sacred occasion at the holy land of Radha Kunda.
