Father-in-law Forces Son-in-law to Drink Poison to Protect Daughter’s Illicit Affair, Shocking Confession Before Death

In a shocking incident from Mohanpur under the Sidai police station area, a man named Suman Pal, resident near Mohanpur Municipality, was allegedly poisoned to death by his father-in-law Pradip Gaur, who reportedly forced him to consume beer mixed with a deadly grass-cutting poison.

According to local sources, Suman Pal, before his death, revealed that his father-in-law had given him the poisoned drink. After consuming it, Suman started feeling unwell and was rushed to the Sidhai Mohanpur Primary Health Centre by his family members. As his condition deteriorated, he was referred to GBP Hospital, Agartala, but doctors could not save his life.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Suman Pal was married and had been living separately from his wife for the past six months, as she was staying at her parental home. Reportedly, Suman was in an extramarital relationship with another woman, which had strained his marriage.

On the evening of the tragic incident, Suman was invited to his in-laws’ house by Pradip Gaur, who allegedly asked him to bring a bottle of grass-cutting chemical along. Once Suman arrived, the poison was secretly mixed with beer and offered to him. A few hours after drinking it, Suman fell critically ill and later succumbed to the effects of the poison.

Police have started an investigation into the incident, and sources indicate that the motive behind the shocking act was to protect the family’s honour after the father-in-law learned of his daughter’s extramarital affair.
