Preparations Begin for Dewali Mela 2025 in Tripureswari Temple, District Administration Issues Order for Allotment of Temporary Stalls

The District Magistrate and Collector of Gomati District, Udaipur, has issued an official order outlining detailed arrangements for the upcoming Dewali Mela 2025. The order, assigns specific duties to officers and officials to ensure smooth management of temporary stalls (Dokan Viti) during the festive event.

According to the directive, officers entrusted with receiving applications from interested applicants for temporary stalls and issuing coupons from October 11 to October 15, 2025, between 10:00 AM and 5:30 PM, including holidays, at the Matabari R.D. Block Office. Each coupon will cost Rs. 100, and arrangements for seating and refreshments will be ensured by the BDO, Matabari.

A lottery for allotment of stalls will be conducted on October 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at the Matabari R.D. Block Office, where rent for the temporary stalls will also be collected as per rates specified. The distribution of temporary stalls to eligible applicants will be completed on October 18, 2025, up to 12 noon or until the completion of the process.

The process will be closely monitored by the Convener and Member Secretary of the Viti Bili Sub-Committee, involving designated officers and members of the sub-committee. The order emphasizes that lottery, rent collection, and stall distribution will be conducted under the supervision of the respective team-in-charge.

Notably, the Dewali Mela, one of the most awaited annual cultural and commercial events in Gomati District, is expected to draw large crowds of visitors and traders. The administration’s proactive planning aims to ensure a transparent and organized system for stall allotment and rent collection, ensuring fairness and efficiency throughout the process.
