Even as the ruling party leaders and ministers continue to sing praises of development and progress, the ground reality in remote areas like Damchhara under the Dullavchhara Gram Panchayat tells a completely different story. A heart-wrenching video has gone viral on social media, showing villagers carrying sick patients on their shoulders through muddy, hilly terrain, because there is no ambulance service available in the area.
While the government boasts of improved infrastructure and healthcare access, residents of this remote tribal region still struggle for basic necessities. Poor road conditions, inaccessible healthcare facilities, and lack of proper communication links have turned medical emergencies into life-threatening situations.
Local villagers say, “Where are those leaders who spoke about working for ‘development’ and in the ‘interest of the nation’? When will they see our suffering?”
The stark contrast between the leaders’ words and the villagers’ hardships has sparked widespread discussion and outrage across the state. As the visuals of people carrying patients on their shoulders continue to circulate online, one question echoes among the people, will this painful scene ever change?
