Agartala: National President of Indian Youth Congress Uday Bhanu Chib on Thursday described internecine squabbling within the organization as a bigger threat than the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party. He explained that if the party’s organization is not united, the party would never be able to pull off a strong fight against the arch rival BJP.“I should make it clear that if I receive any complaints regarding internal conflicts, I will definitely work strictly. The trouble mongers will face serious consequences. We have adopted a zero tolerance policy against activities that are detrimental to the party’s growth,” Chib told the Youth Congress activists of Tripura at Agartala Town Hall. The National Youth Congress chief has arrived here in Agartala for a two-day state tour to attend the North East convention of the Youth Congress. “I urge all the workers to be united and move forward with the ideals of Rahul Gandhi Ji. We must not forget that we are not fighting against a political organization called BJP. We are up against the whole state machinery. The recent statement of Rahul Gandhi was attempted to be twisted but people rejected it and showed their trust in our leader,” Chib added.Holding BJP responsible for the rising unemployment and drug abuse, the Youth Congress leader said, “The BJP had been instrumental in endorsing unemployment and drug abuse. A port owned by Adani Ji who is regarded as the closest friend of the Prime Minister has emerged as the gateway of drug trafficking. Recently, a large consignment of drugs was caught there. The BJP government instead of initiating an inquiry withdrew the CISF official posted there. The act speaks for itself,” he added. He also appreciated the cultural heritage of the North Eastern states and said that the unity in diversity could flourish in India because of the Constitution of India which was framed by none other than BR Ambedkar Ji under the guidance of Gandhi Ji. All senior leaders of the Congress party and Youth Congress remained present at the function held at Agartala Town Hall
