Tripura Government Announces Enhancement of Wages for Workers Across Multiple Categories from October 1, 2025

The Government of Tripura has announced a revision of wages and remuneration for various categories of workers, including Daily Rated Workers (DRWs), Monthly Rated Workers (MRWs), Contingent and Casual Workers, Part-time Workers, Permanent Labourers, employees in Public Places of Worship, Village Chowkidars, School Mothers, Adult Literacy Teachers, Part-time Instructors, Community Health Guides, and Home Guards. The revised rates will come into effect from October 1, 2025.

According to the Finance Department memorandum issued on Friday, the enhancement aims to benefit employees working under fixed pay, daily wage, and part-time categories, many of whom serve without the concurrence of the Finance Department.

Revised Wages for Key Categories are:

Daily Rated Workers (Grade-C): Increased from Rs.476.00 to Rs.490.00 per day.

DRW (Technical): Increased from Rs.487.00 to Rs.502.00 per day.

Daily Rated Workers (Grade-D): Increased from Rs.444.00 to Rs.457.00 per day.

Monthly Rated Workers (Grade-D): Increased from Rs.12,924.00 to Rs.13,312.00 per month.

Permanent Labourers: Increased from Rs.449.00 to Rs.462.00 per day.

Part-time Workers (based on hours of engagement):

4 hours: Rs.10,113.00 to Rs.10,416.00 per month.

3 hours: Rs.9,842.00 to Rs.10,137.00 per month.

2 hours: Rs.9,593.00 to Rs.9,881.00 per month.

Public Places of Worship (PPW) staff:

Head Priest: Rs.14,741.00 to Rs.15,183.00 per month.

Adhikari: Rs.14,417.00 to Rs.14,850.00 per month.

Priest/Chantai/Principal/Chandi Pathak/Cook/Pujari: Rs.11,929.00 to Rs.12,287.00 per month.

Tallua/Mali/Guard/Singer/Sweeper/Gardener: Rs.10,382.00 to Rs.10,693.00 per month.

Other Categories:

Village Chowkidar: Rs.11,475.00 to Rs.11,819.00 per month.

School Mother: Rs.8,457.00 to Rs.8,711.00 per month.

Home Guard: Rs.20,700.00 to Rs.21,321.00 per month.

Adult Literacy Teacher: Rs.7,289.00 to Rs.7,508.00 per month.

Part-time Instructor: Rs.7,171.00 to Rs.7,386.00 per month.

Community Health Guide: Rs.7,171.00 to Rs.7,386.00 per month.

Additionally, the memorandum specifies a 3% enhancement in wages for both full-time and part-time workers engaged without Finance Department concurrence.

The Finance Department order emphasizes that the Governor of Tripura has approved these revisions to ensure better financial support and recognition for workers serving in different capacities across the state.
