Mega Jansuraksha Campaign at Nalchar: Governor Emphasizes Financial Inclusion and Last-Mile Social Security Empowerment

Nalchar RD Block in Sepahijala district witnessed a historic occasion on 25th September 2025, as Tripura Gramin Bank organized a Mega Jansuraksha Campaign at the Community Hall. The landmark event was graced by His Excellency Shri Indrasena Reddy Nallu, Governor of Tripura, as the Chief Guest.

The gathering was further enriched by the presence of Shri Kishor Barman, Minister of Panchayat, Higher Education & GA (Political), Shri Bibhu Prasad Mahapatra, Executive Director of Punjab National Bank, and Smt. Supriya Das Dutta, Zila Sabhadhipati, Sepahijala, along with several senior officials and dignitaries.

The event began with the National Anthem, followed by felicitation of guests, lamp lighting, and inspirational addresses from key dignitaries including the Additional District Magistrate Sepahijala, General Manager RBI, and Chairman of Tripura Gramin Bank, Shri Satyendra Singh.

In his keynote speech, the Governor underlined the importance of financial inclusion and reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to ensuring that social security benefits under flagship schemes reach every household, especially those in remote areas.

A significant highlight of the program was the distribution of cheques worth Rs. 2,00,000 each to five nominees under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY). This symbolic gesture reflected the direct impact of these schemes in safeguarding families who have lost their breadwinners.

The campaign also included stall visits, community interactions, and financial literacy awareness activities, making it a comprehensive initiative for public engagement.

The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks by the Regional Manager (South), Tripura Gramin Bank, followed by further cheque distributions and interactions with beneficiaries.

The Mega Jansuraksha Campaign at Nalchar stood as a powerful testament to Tripura Gramin Bank’s dedication to promoting social security, enhancing financial literacy, and driving last-mile banking inclusion, thereby strengthening the bridge between institutions and common citizens.
