PCC president Asish Kumar Saha on tour in Kamalpur, seeks chief minister’s visit to see the deplorable condition of the National Highway

The Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Asish Kumar Saha who has been working tirelessly to rejuvenate the party in the nooks and corners of the state has sought the urgent intervention of the chief minister Dr Manik Saha to improve the deplorable plight of the National Highway in the state. “ We have made repeated appeals to the authorities on the deplorable condition of the national highways in the state but it seems nothing moves the state government; I therefore appeal to the chief minister Dr Manik Saha to thoroughly inspect different parts of the national highway and try to improve their deplorable condition ; people and vehicles move at great risk to lives on the national highway and this can not go on for eternity” said Asish while speaking to media persons in Mangalsing para area under Surma (SC) assembly constituency in Kamalpur subdivision.
He had gone there , accompanied by AICC observer Christopher Tilak and party leader Nidhu Marak, state youth Congress president Neelkamal Saha and Surma block Congress president Ratan Chanda. In the mass rally held there 145 voters belonging to 31 families joined the Congress by accepting Congress flags from party leaders. The new entrants vented their frustration with the BJP and CPI (M) and declared their resolve to work for Congress.
Addressing the gathering PCC president Asish Kumar Saha called upon the people to be prepared for the coming political battles and work unitedly for Congress. “We are going to face the ADC elections next year and the crucial assembly elections in the year 2028; these political battles are important and we must win them to rid the state of BJP’s misrule and anti-people activities; it is by now clear that the people of the state prefer the Congress to BJP and we must work relentlessly to achieve our political goals” said Asish. He added that he has been receiving overwhelming response from the people in all places he has been visiting. “We must work relentlessly and sincerely to honour the trust of the people and this should continue till the assembly elections of 2028 when the people will democratically unseat the BJP government” Asish added.
