Height of perversion : mentally retarded woman raped in Kailasahar

Perversion of taste and practices seem to have reached their nadir in Kailasahar subdivision of Unakoti district. Nothing illustrates the point better than the serial rape of a mentally retarded woman by a man who us as yet unidentified in Kailasahar subdvisional town .

Giving details police sources said that a resident of Irani area of Kailasahar, Hasib Ali had come to court compound in connection with a pending case. While having tiffin in a stall near the court he was shown a video by the owner Gulzar Hossain how a sleeping woman was being raped by an unknown youth on the first floor of the nearby Taj Hotel on 14th and 15th September night.

The circulation of the obscene video sparked a outrage among dwellers of the town and , aghast at the sight Hasib Ali immediately called up the Kailasaha womens police station and reported the matter. The abused woman had been immediately identified as mentally retarded. A team from the Kailasahar womens police station reached the spot at once and collected the CCTV footage of the Taj Hotel. But even though the hapless woman victims was immediately identified , the face of the rapid is not clearly visible in the circulated video. Sources from Kailasahar said that police investigation is on and effort is being made to identify the culprit with technical help.
