Bride allegedly burnt to death by relatives of deceased husband within four days of his accidental death

In a gruesome incident the in-laws and relatives of deceased husband torched the bride within four days of the husband’s accidental death. The charred body of the bride was later placed railway track. Giving details official sources said that the grisly killing took place in Sadhutilla area under East Agartala police station .

The slain wife Geeta Sutradhar’s (32) husband Prasenjit Sutradhar (34) was a labourer in ONGC’s drill site at Gabordi area under Srinagar police station. A heavy pipe accidentally fell on his head while at work on September 9 and he died from the impact of serious head injury. This death was registered as case of unnatural death by the Srinagar police station and investigation is on.

Meanwhile , the dead body of Prasenjit’s wife Geeta Sutradhar was recovered from beside the railway track in Sadhutilla area , five hundred metres away from their home in naked condition yesrerday in the morning. As the news of a naked woman’s dead body lying beside the railway track spread a large number of people gathered there. Police personnel from Gabordi outpost reached the spot and shifted the corpse to GBP hospital for post-mortem. After being informed of the incident the parents and relatives of Geeta Sutradhar alleged that her in-laws and relatives burnt Geeta to death on Friday night and kept the dead body beside the railway track to deflect the charge of murder. They filed a case of murder with the police.
