Tripura Gramin Bank (TGB) Jamjuri Branch organised a Jansuraksha Campaign at South Murapara Gram Panchayat under Kakraban RD Block, which turned out to be a highly successful outreach programme with the participation of more than 100 beneficiaries.

The programme was attended by Chairman of Tripura Gramin Bank Mr. Satyendra Singh, Deputy General Manager NABARD Mr. Diganta Kumar Das, District Development Manager NABARD Mr. Khokan Dey, Regional Manager (South) of TGB Mrs. Payel Saha, Lead District Manager of Gomati District, along with the Pradhan of South Murapara GP.

Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries spoke about the importance and benefits of the Government of India’s social security schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), and Atal Pension Yojana (APY). They also stressed the need for re-KYC updation in Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) accounts to ensure continued access to government-linked benefits.

The campaign facilitated fresh enrollments under the schemes, ensuring wider coverage among rural households. A key highlight of the event was the distribution of a cheque worth Rs. 2 lakh to the nominee of late Sabita Das, a customer of TGB Jamjuri Branch who had been enrolled under the PMJJBY scheme. This not only underscored the value of the scheme but also demonstrated the bank’s commitment to extending financial security to families in times of distress.

With active participation from the local community and valuable guidance from bank and NABARD officials, the Jansuraksha Campaign emerged as a grand success. Tripura Gramin Bank reaffirmed its commitment to deepening financial inclusion and social security awareness across rural Tripura through such initiatives.
