‘Tripura Gauchhia Samity’ to organise rally and social programmes on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the prophet of Islam Hazrat Mohammed

The ‘Tripura Gauchhia Samity’, an apex religious organization of the Muslims in the state have decided to organise a colourful rally and a raft of social welfare programmes to observe the birth anniversary of the prophet of Islam Hazrat Mohammed on September 5-that is on next Friday. Announcing this in an interaction with the media in Agartala Press Club tody, the president of the ‘Samity’ Abdul Barik Chowdhury and secretary Md Ali said that as part of the celebration of the holy programme a colourful rally will start from the Muslim burial ground in Indra Nagar at 8-00 in the morning and it will wind its way through various city thoroughfares before reaching the ‘Mazar’ close to the burial ground in Indra Nagar and then the ‘Jame Mosque’. This will be followed up by such social welfare works as tree sapling planting, a voluntary blood donation camp and health camp. A special programme of prayer for the mankind in the ‘Darga Sharif’ compound of Indra Nagar.

The interactive session with the media was attended by the president and secretary of the ‘Gauchhia Samity’ and by the ‘Imam’ of the Indra Nagar mosque Md Nazrul Islam Qaderi, advocate Lutfur Rahaman Khadim, Mufti Md Sahabuddin and others.
