From the pre-Christian era to the turbulent present-India has always abounded in traitors and ‘Goddars’ who have weakened the country from within, despite a rich civilizational and cultural heritage that also extends to science and technology. The luminous list of such Goddars from historical times include Ambhi, the king of erstwhile Taxila (now in Pakistan) during Macedonian Alexander’s invasion in 327 BC, Jaichand Gahadwal who had aided and abetted the Muslim take-over of Delhi by Afghani lootera Muhammad Ghori in 1192, Daulat Khan Lodi who had invited and collaborated with Babur the Mughal in 1526 in overthrowing Sultan Ibrahim Lodi, Rohilla Sardar Nazibuddaula who had also invited and collaborated with Afghani lootera Ahmed Shah Abdali in routing the Marathas in the third battle of Panipath in 1761 and Meer Zafar who had helped British victory in the sham battle of Plassey in Bengal in 1757.
But beneath the leading names of history there are hundreds and thousands of ‘Goddars’ trying to kill the soul of Mother India for money by indulging in treacherous activities. Amid countless such instances the prominent now are the traitors who facilitate the illegal entry of Bangladeshi infiltrator termites and Rohingiyas that not only share and eat into our resources but work with the single-minded zeal of drastically altering the demography of the country. Such heinous traitors are found mostly in West Bengal, Bihar, Tripura and Assam.
In the latest instance of sponsored infiltration Bapi De (31) , traitor based in Bhawanipur area under Sonamura subdivision, was caught today by the BSF jawans (69th battalion) for having facilitated the entry of five Bangladeshi termites from across the border and for arranging for them fake ‘Aadhar’ card in lieu of only Rs 40 thousand each in cash only. Sources from Sonamura said that Bapi De had managed to have the five infiltrators cross the barbed wire fencing two days ago and got fake ‘Aadhar’ cards prepared for them but his game was caught as the BSF jawans of the Bhowanipur border out post (BO) nabbed all of them from a hideout ,acting on a tip-off.
The five Bangladeshis were identified as Abdul Motin (26) from Chittagong , Abdul Sattar (18) from Comilla, Nurul Alam (30) from Chttagong, Md Hasan (20) from Chittagong and Md Arman Hossain (19) from Chittagong. All five and their local mentor Bapi De have been handed over to Jatrapur police station by the BSF and they are being produced in court. Sources said that the hauling up of the five infiltrators and their Indian patron has raised fresh questions over border security in Tripura and the effectiveness of border vigil as well as involvement of traitors from within in the trafficking racket.
