Tripura's First Inter School Science Quiz Organized by Bhvan's Tripura Vidyamandir, Tripureswari Vidyamandir Crowned Champion

In a historic initiative, Bhavan's Tripura Vidyamandir, organized Tripura’s first ever inter school science quiz competition today at its school auditorium. The event marked a milestone in the state’s academic and cultural calendar, drawing enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, and parents alike.

Tripureswari Vidyamandir emerged as the champion, while Ramakrishna Mission School secured the second position, and Kathiababa Mission School claimed the third prize. A total of 11 schools competed in the preliminary round, from which the top five schools were shortlisted for the final stage.

The quiz was conducted by three teachers from Bhavan's Tripura Vidyamandir along with two well known quiz masters who made the audience rounds lively and engaging. Abhijit Bhattacharjee and Madhuja Debnath (Mahi), a renowned young quiz master associated with the tripurainfo.com Mega Quiz since 2005,

added special vibrancy to the program through their interactive segments.

The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Jayanta Debnath, renowned journalist and one of the key personalities behind Tripura's quiz movement, Debasish Chakraborty, retired IFS, and Chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Agartala Kendra and Swapna Shome, Principal of Bhavan's Tripura Vidyamandir . They praised the effort of the organizers for pioneering such an initiative in the state.

The program, held from 11 am to 2 pm, witnessed an overwhelming presence of students, parents and teachers, all of whom lauded the endeavor. The dignitaries encouraged the school to continue organizing such science quiz competitions regularly, recognizing their potential in shaping young minds.

Speaking at the event, the guests emphasized that quizzes are not merely about testing knowledge but also about fostering curiosity, quick thinking, teamwork and the joy of learning. They highlighted how competitions like this motivate students to move beyond textbooks, build confidence, and gain clarity of thought.

Parents and guardians attending the program also congratulated Bhavan's Tripura Vidyamandir for organizing Tripura’s first science quiz and commended the participating schools for their enthusiastic involvement.
