The first class judicial magistrate of Sunamura Shri Anirban Senapati has recently given a clear order to the Sonamura police station to receive an FIR against the former OC of Sonamura police station Paritosh Das and one SPO of the police station Dilwar Hussain on the basis of a serious complaint of robbery at the house of Arshad Rahman, a resident of NC Nagar, Sonamura. According to Arshad Rahman, on November 5, 2023, the police force led by OC Paritosh Das raided his house late at night illegally and robbed Rs 16 lakh from the house in the name of search. Arshad Rahman had Rs 16 lakh due from the sale of land. SPO Dilwar Hussain knew by virtue of being a neighbor that Arshad Rahman received Rs 16 lakh for the sale of land on the afternoon of November 5. No remedial action was taken against the sensational robbery at the house of a householder under the leadership of the OC of the police station, despite informing the top echelons of the state administration. Sonamura police station did not take FIR against OC. Arshad Rahman filed a case in the High Court. The High Court ordered the police officers to take action as per the law but no action was taken by the Director General of Police and other officials. Arshad Rahman filed a criminal complaint against police officers Paritosh Das and Dilwar Hussain in the first class judicial magistrate's court of Sonamura. The court has summoned the reply of the accused and SP of Seapahijala. After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the magistrate Anirban Senapati directed the Sonamura police station to receive an FIR against the two police officers and initiate investigation, finding prima facie evidence of the chargeable offense against the accused. Lawyer Purushottam Roy Barman, lawyer Kaushik Nath, Dwipjyoti Pal and Manish Pal are fighting the case for Arshad Rahman, who lost everything in the robbery committed by the accused in uniform.
