After nearly six months of anticipation, Tripura University has officially released the merit list for the appointment of various non-teaching staff posts. The written tests for these posts were conducted on February 15 and 16, 2025, followed by the skill tests held on February 22, 23, and 27. The final merit list, however, was published only on August 6, 2025, much later than expected, sparking relief and satisfaction among the aspirants who had been waiting for clarity regarding their recruitment status.

As per the notification (No.F.TU/REG/MISC/01/2023) issued by the Recruitment Cell of Tripura University, the selected candidates have been recommended for appointment to four key non-teaching positions: Lower Division Clerk, Library Attendant, Laboratory Attendant, and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS). The selection was made based on merit in the written and skill tests, with adherence to reservation categories,

UR, SC, ST, and EWS.

Key Highlights from the List:

Lower Division Clerk: A total of 21 candidates have been listed across all categories. Manish Kumar Mishra, Tanima Bhowmik, Banita Mitra, and Prasenjit Ghosh top the list in the UR category. Results for a few candidates are still on hold.

Library Attendant: Only one candidate, Riya Sutradhar (UR), has been found suitable for appointment.

Laboratory Attendant: No candidate was found suitable in the UR category. One candidate each from the SC (Sujit Sarkar), ST (David Debbarma), and EWS (Prashanta Chakma) categories have been selected.

Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS):

A total of 15 candidates have been listed. Pradip Kumar Roy, Sudhra Shankar Bhattacharjee, and Soma Saha are among the selected in the UR category. Notably, six candidates have been selected under the ST category, including Twishri Debbarma and Puja Smriti Debbarma.

This long-awaited announcement has come as a major update for hundreds of aspirants who had appeared in the recruitment process. Offer letters of appointment have been issued to those who made it to the final list.

The notification was signed and issued with the approval of the Competent Authority of Tripura University. Copies have been circulated to the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor’s office and uploaded on the Tripura University website for public access.

While this release marks the end of a long wait for the selected candidates, some results remain on hold, and a few categories did not find suitable candidates, possibly requiring fresh recruitment drives in the near future.
