BJP to organise massive tribal rally on the occasion of international indigenous peoples day on August 9

The state BJP will organise a massive indigenous peoples rally at Agartala on August 9 when tribal supporters and workers of BJP including leaders will converge on Agartala to attend the rally . The party leadership here have started preparing in right earnest for the rally which is also designed to showcase the party’s support base among the tribal people. The tribal leaders of the party from state down to Village Committee level have been directed to campaign for the rally to ensure the highest possible attendance.
Keeping in view the upcoming rally the minister for tribal welfare Bikash Debbarma has addressed a rally of party workers and supporters at Mungiakami market . Speaking in the rally Bikash said that the incumbent BJP government has been working to improve the lot of the tribal people in Tripura in an unprecedented manner, ensuring that all the amenities of life reach the interior areas and this has no precedence in the state over the past thirty five years. “All the tribal villages that were deprived of basic facilities like pure drinking water , education and health are now getting them ; it is therefore an imperative that we attend the massive central rally at Agartala on August 9” said Bikash.
Apart from Bikash, the meeting in Mungiakami market was also addressed by member of district council (MDC) Bidyut Debbarma, ‘Mandal’ president Gopal Das, general secretary of the ‘Mandal’ Wakhirai Malsum. All the speakers pointed out how the pace development in the tribal areas got a new momentum after the BJP had come to power. The leaders also appreciated the high attendance in the rally at Mungiakami market and urged upon the people to prepare themselves for attending the rally called by BJP on August 9 at Agartala in tribal interest so that their development is further accelerated in future.
