Senior Congress leader and sitting party MLA Sudip Roybarman today made a significant and sweeping observation about the aims and objects of ‘Tipra Motha’ party in a chat with media persons in the government-run ‘Muktadhara’ auditorium. He had gone there to attend a state level meeting of the Youth Congress as a guest of honour.
Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the meeting Sudip Roybarman deviated from the topic and accused ‘Tipra Motha’ of interfering in the internal factional feud of the large partner, the BJP. “A delegation of ‘Tipra Motha’ had recently gone to Delhi and met with the union home minister Amit Shah, apparently to discuss issues of so-called peace accord ; they must have got assurances from the union home minister but I am convinced that their purpose was not to speak on interests of ‘Tiprasa’ but to poke their nose in the internal factional feud of BJP “ said Sudip. He charged that the ‘Tipra Motha’ is trying to strengthen the ‘former’ (Biplab Kumar Deb) and weaken the incumbent (Manik Saha) because they are well aware that the former can be moulded at will . “Tipra Motha’s posturing here and in Delhi has got nothing to do with the interest of tribal people but go gain advantages in inner feud through the back-door” said Sudip. No reaction from ‘Tipra Motha’ has as yet come to Sudip’s accusatory statement.
