Major Police Reshuffle in Tripura: Namit Pathak Takes Over as SP West Tripura, Kiran Kumar Shifted to Gomati

In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Government of Tripura has transferred key IPS and TPS officers in the interest of public service. As per an official notification issued yesterday by the General Administration (Personnel & Training) Department, several changes have been made in police leadership across districts with immediate effect.

Shri Namit Pathak, IPS, who was serving as Superintendent of Police (PHQ), Tripura, has been appointed as the new Superintendent of Police for West Tripura District. He replaces Shri Kiran Kumar K, IPS, who has now been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Gomati District.

In another important development, Shri Souvik De, TPS Grade-I, Addl. SP (attached to PHQ), has been transferred and posted as Addl. SP, Tripura Police Cyber Branch (TPCB).

Additionally, Shri Bijoy Debbarma, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Sepahijala District, has been relieved from the additional charge of SP, Gomati District, which he was holding until now.

The reshuffle has been made under the orders of the Governor of Tripura and will take effect immediately until further notice. The notification was issued and signed by S.K. Debbarma, Deputy Secretary to the Government of Tripura.

These changes are expected to bring renewed focus and direction to police administration in the respective districts.
