Bizarre incident : septuagenarian forcibly married to thirty five yearold woman after being caught in the act

Love for and lure of carnal relation is believed to transcend age barriers. This was proved-if any proof were ever required-in Laljuri area under Kanchanpur subdivision on Tuesday last. A septuagenarian brother in law (husband of elder sister) Manindra Debnath had been in love and carnal relation with his thirty five yearold unwed sister in law Pratima for a long time. The information about the illicit relationship had reached the ears of the people in Laljuri locality and they had been waiting for an opportunity to catch the duo red-handed in the act.

It was on last Tuesday evening that Manindra, the libidinous brother in law, had tip-toed into the house of his paramour and sister in law Pratima around 7-30 in the evening. The people of the locality who had been waiting to catch the duo red-handed found their long-awaited opportunity. They barged into a room of Pratima’s house and found the lovelorn duo . Both the paramours were dragged to the ‘Kali Mandir’ in Laljuri area and were forcibly married in presence of a large number of people including women who blew whistles with lips as part of the ritual . Pratima was forced to go with her septuagenarian brother-in-law Manindra’s home . The incident till now has not stirred any leaf and there is so far no intervention from police either in the absence of a complaint.
