TRLM Belbari Organizes Legal Rights Awareness Programme for Women in Collaboration with Tripura State Legal Services Authority

A one-day Block Level Awareness Programme on the Legal Rights of Women was successfully held at Govinda Bhavan Community Hall under the SISD (Social Inclusion and Social Development) vertical, organized by Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM), Belbari R.D Block, in collaboration with the Tripura State Legal Services Authority (TSLSA).

The event, held on 1st August 2025, saw the enthusiastic participation of 160 individuals, primarily Self-Help Group (SHG) women members. The primary objective of the programme was to educate rural women about their fundamental legal rights and the various avenues through which they can access free legal aid services provided by the government.

Officials from the Tripura State Legal Services Authority conducted interactive sessions and delivered informative presentations highlighting laws related to women’s rights, protection against domestic violence, property rights, and access to justice. They also emphasized the role of legal services institutions in providing free and timely legal support to marginalized and vulnerable women.

Participants appreciated the initiative, which not only enhanced their legal awareness but also empowered them to raise their voices against injustices and seek proper redressal mechanisms.

The programme reflects TRLM’s continued efforts to promote social empowerment and legal literacy among women through strategic collaborations and grassroots outreach.
