In the wake of the recent attack on BJP supporters in Asharambari during the broadcast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha held a crucial meeting today with senior Janajati leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The meeting, held in a spirit of solidarity and concern, addressed both the unfortunate incident and broader developmental issues impacting Tripura’s tribal communities. The Janajati leaders shared their perspectives and grassroots experiences, emphasizing the need for sustained attention to the aspirations of tribal people, especially in sensitive and remote areas like Asharambari.
Chief Minister Dr. Saha reaffirmed the Govt’s unwavering commitment to inclusive growth, protection of tribal rights, cultural preservation, and long-term empowerment of the Janajati brothers and sisters. He assured that appropriate action would be taken to address the Asharambari incident and ensure peace and justice for the affected supporters.
The interaction also covered future developmental strategies aimed at strengthening infrastructure, education, healthcare, and livelihood opportunities in tribal-dominated regions. The contributions of the Janajati leaders were acknowledged as crucial to shaping policies that reflect the real needs of the indigenous population.
"This dialogue reinforces our collective vision of a stronger, united, and progressive Tripura," said Dr. Saha, while stressing the importance of continued collaboration between the government and tribal leadership.
The meeting concluded with a shared resolve to build resilience against disruptive elements and work together for the all-round development of Tripura’s diverse communities.
