Tripura Government Actively Registers Construction Workers Under NSKP 2.0 Scheme to Ensure Comprehensive Welfare

Under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha and the wise guidance of Minister Tinku Roy, who holds the Labour, Social Welfare & Social Education, Youth Affairs and Sports portfolios, the Labour Department of the Government of Tripura is working tirelessly for the welfare of the state's labour force.One of the key initiatives in this regard is the Tripura Building & Other Constructions Workers Welfare Scheme (NSKP 2.0). The primary objective of this scheme is to ensure the registration of all categories of construction workers across the state. As of now, a total of 52,981 construction workers have been registered under this scheme.

The NSKP 2.0 scheme provides comprehensive financial support to registered construction workers and their family members (subject to conditions), covering the entire lifecycle, "from womb to tomb". A detailed leaflet outlining all the benefits of the scheme has been made available for public awareness.Currently, Labour Officers and Labour Inspectors, in collaboration with CSC Operators, are visiting various construction sites across Tripura to register on-site construction workers and raise awareness about the scheme.

As part of this ongoing effort, an Awareness cum Registration Camp was held yesterday at a flat construction site in Vijaykumar, Agartala, where Joint Labour Commissioner B.B. Das was present. Similarly, Dy Labour Commissioner and Secretary of TBOCWWB, Smt. Paromita Majumder, visited the awareness camp at the stadium construction site in Narsingarh.

Notably, in the last financial year alone, the Labour Department spent Rs. 26,95,91,218 under various components of the NSKP 2.0 scheme to support registered construction workers and their family members.As per the official sources,
