CM Dr. Manik Saha Felicitates Meritorious Tribal Hostel Students, Highlights NGOs' Role in Education

In a heartwarming ceremony held today at Rabindra Bhawan, Agartala, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha felicitated the meritorious students from tribal hostels who have excelled in the Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examinations.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Saha expressed pride in the students’ achievements, calling them a "beacon of hope" and a reflection of the transformative power of inclusive education in Tripura.

He also emphasized the crucial role played by some Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) in supporting the government’s mission to provide quality education to students from Janajati (tribal) communities. “NGOs are playing a vital role in complementing government efforts,” said the Chief Minister.

Currently, approximately 16,500 students are enrolled in 192 hostels run by these NGOs across the state, laying a strong foundation for a brighter and more empowered future for tribal youth.

The event was a celebration of academic excellence and a reaffirmation of the government’s commitment to inclusive development and educational equity in Tripura.
