In a major step towards promoting digital learning, Techno College of Engineering, Agartala has announced that all newly admitted students of the 2024 academic session, including first-year B.Tech students, diploma-based lateral entry students admitted to the second year of B.Tech, and fresh diploma students will be provided with modern digital devices free of cost. As part of this initiative, B.Tech students will receive Apple iPads, while diploma students will be given Lenovo Tablets.

This bold and student-centric initiative has been launched with the primary objective of connecting students more closely with modern digital education tools and platforms. As the global education system increasingly leans toward digital and online formats, the college aims to empower its students with access to technology that ensures learning continues seamlessly, irrespective of physical presence in the classroom.

To support this initiative, the college has developed its own dedicated online learning platform, “Campus Jadugar.” This platform allows students to access recorded presentations, study materials, and lectures prepared by faculty members. If a student is unable to attend a class or has doubts about a specific topic, they can simply revisit the uploaded content on Campus Jadugar to revise and understand the material at their own pace, without falling behind or disrupting the flow of others in the class.

As part of this digital transition, Shankha Subhra Debnath, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, has created a special AI-powered presentation titled “Quantum Machine Learning: The Next Frontier.” This presentation, available exclusively on the Campus Jadugar platform, explores the transformative intersection of quantum computing and machine learning, explaining both its theoretical underpinnings and practical implications. It is one of the most timely and globally relevant topics in today’s technology-driven world.

Such content is expected to give students a real-world understanding of emerging technologies and help them become globally competitive professionals. Importantly, this initiative is not limited to a single presentation. Faculty members across departments will continue to create high-quality, topic-based presentations and upload them to Campus Jadugar to ensure that every student, whether present in the class or not, stays connected to the learning process and remains updated.

This new initiative comes at a symbolic moment for the institution. In 2024, Techno College of Engineering, Agartala celebrates 10 years of its journey. Over the last decade, the college has earned a reputation for its unwavering commitment to providing high-quality technical education and modern infrastructure to students in Tripura and beyond. Now, with the launch of this student-first digital mission, the college is reinforcing its commitment to staying at the forefront of educational innovation.

As Techno College of Engineering enters its second decade, it is not only celebrating its past achievements but also laying the foundation for a technology-empowered future, where learning is inclusive, accessible, and future-ready.
