Seminar on constitution in all mandals on January 11

Agartala: The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party will organize seminars on the Constitution of India and the role of its architect Dr BR Ambedkar in all sixty assembly constituencies on January 11. This initiative will be undertaken as a part of the 15-day long drive to celebrate the constitution of India and spread awareness among masses about its core values, Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy said today.He was speaking at the state level workshop organized ahead of the beginning of the campaign that will continue in between January 11 to January 25, 2025. The move aims to counter the attacks from the opposition parties accusing it of making alleged attempts to weaken the values of the country's guiding document. To oversee the 15-day long drive that will run through between January 11 to January 25, the party has constituted a state level committee. Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy had been entrusted with the responsibility of in-charge of the committee.Other key members of the committee comprises General Secretary Bipin Debbarma, media in-charge Sunit Sarkar and MLA Pinaki Das Chowdhury and Ajanta Bhattacharjee, the Minister added.“In all Mandals, we have formed three member committees. The statewide campaign will involve people right from the booth level. Events will be organized in booths, in Mandals, in District levels and finally at the central level in the state capital,” the Minister pointed out. The Minister also added that on January 17, district level processions will be held in all district headquarters. And, on January 25, rallies will be organized in all Mandals.“We have seen that some political parties try to mislead people about the constitution of India. Especially parties like CPIM and Congress have no rights to speak anything about the Indian constitution. The CPIM has an ideological commitment to dissolve the constitution of India and Congress left no stones unturned to insult the architect of Indian constitution DR BR Ambedkar. This rally aims to make people aware about the reality,” said Singha Roy.BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee, General Secretary organisation Ravindra Raju and others were also present at the event.
