The all-round anarchy unleashed by the illegitimate interim regime led by Md Yunus in Bangladesh has taken its toll on the judiciary also that is now playing only second fiddle to the government. Nothing illustrates the point better than the consecutive denial of bail to Hindu monk Chinmay Krishna Brahmachari in court even though the ascetic monk had been framed in a plethora of absolutely false cases. The latest bail hearing was held today in the court of Metropolitan session judge Hasanul Islam but the plea made by lawyers representing Chinmay Krishna was denied yet again even though the fabricated and conspiratorial nature of the cases including murder charge against him was as clear as daylight. A team of lawyers including senior advocate Apurba Kumar Bhattacharya from Dhaka represented Chinmay Krishan in the court.

Sources from Bangladesh said that Chinmay Krishna had been charged with a plainly false sedition charge in November last year and arrested from Dhaka after he had held two huge rallies of Hindus in Chittagong and Rangpur in the wake of targeted attacks on Hindus by the Muslim criminals after the forced change of government in August last year. Subsequently during the hearing of his petition for bail on November 26 in Chittagong court a ‘Momin’ advocate Saiful Islam Alim had been lynched to death within the court premise by a mob of Muslim lawyers who had mistaken Saiful for a Hindu. This was followed by the filing of a murder case against Chinmay Krishna who had been in the court dock at the time of lynching by the slain lawyer’s father Jamal Uddin at the instigation of Muslim fundamentalists. It was on July 1 that the police had submitted a fabricated charge-sheet against Chinmay Krishna for murder, incitement, vandalism and a lot of other baseless and ridiculous charges. The case was heard today and the bail petition was rejected at the instigation of the prosecution-that is , the fundamentalist run government.

Meanwhile, the vindictive interim government ruling Bangladesh now got arrested the former chief justice of the country ABM Khairul Haque who was the 19th chief justice of the country and had retired from service way back in 2011. The detective branch of Dhaka metropolitan police arrested the former chief justice this morning on undisclosed charges . Sources from across the border said that ABM Khairul Haque had in his judgements had abolished the system of care-taker government in the run up to elections and had also led the bench that had handed down death penalties to the killers of ‘Bangabandhu’ Sheikh Mujibur Rahaman and his entire family during his tenure. The arrest of the former chief justice is being considered a vindictive action on the part of the illegitimate interim government and its fundamentalist backers.
