National Flag Day Commemorated with Patriotic Fervour in Agartala

National Flag Day was celebrated across Agartala with inspiring patriotic zeal on 22 Jul 25. The series of events held across the city highlighted unity honour and artistic expression among the youth.The day began at Army Public School where over 70 enthusiastic students took part in a Poster Making Competition. Divided into two categories, the younger group of pupils from classes three to five created posters on the theme ‘My Flag My Pride’ while students from classes six to eight focused on ‘The Journey of Our National Flag’. Through their vibrant and imaginative artwork the students portrayed the significance history and emotions associated with the Tricolour.The competition concluded with a prize distribution ceremony recognising the finest entries while all participants received applause for their spirited involvement. Teachers and school staff lauded the initiative for fostering national pride and increasing awareness among the students.

Later in the day troops from Spear Corps joined forces with over 400 National Cadet Corps cadets to conduct a spirited march from Bhagat Singh Auditorium to the Legislative Assembly and back through Agartala city. This commemorative march marked the historic adoption of the National Flag on 22 July 1947. Students and soldiers marched shoulder to shoulder in a striking display of unity and discipline paying poignant tribute to the National Flag and India’s enduring legacy.

Together these events captured the true essence of National Flag Day — a celebration not only of a symbol but also of the values sacrifices and aspirations it represents.
