New chief justice to be sworn in today in Raj Bhawan in solemn ceremony

The newly appointed chief justice of high court of Tripura Justice Mamidanna Satya Ratna Sri Ram Chandra Rao will be administered the oath of office today in a solemn ceremony in Raj Bhawan at 10-00 AM. He will take over charge after formal appointment by the supreme court collegium following the retirement of incumbent chief justice T. Amarnath Gour from 21 July.
At present Justice Mamidanna Satya Ratna Sri Ram Chandra Rao is the chief justice of Jharkhand high court . The governor of the state Indrasena Reddy Nallu will administer the oath of office in the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhawan. A galaxy of top dignitaries of the state including the chief minister Dr Manik Saha, members of his cabinet, chief secretary J.K.Sinha and judges of the high court of Tripura will attend the swearing in ceremony. All the invitees to the programme have been requested to take their seats by 9-30 AM tomorrow in the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhawan, the designated place of swearing in.
