PCC Chief Slams Tripura’s Triple Engine Govt as Ineffective

Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee President Asish Kumar Saha on Thursday criticized the BJP-led government, calling all three "engines" of the so-called triple engine government dysfunctional.

Speaking at a party meeting in Congress Bhavan, Saha said that while the BJP formed a double engine government in 2018, the addition of Tipra Motha in the ruling alliance created a third engine. Yet, he claimed, none of them are working in the public’s interest.

“Those who voted for these parties are left with nothing. The welfare of the people has completely derailed,” Saha stated.

He added that as part of a nationwide campaign, the Congress has intensified local outreach across Tripura. Street meetings, block-level interactions, and public engagement efforts are being held to expose the failures of the ruling coalition and to strengthen Congress’s organisational base ahead of future elections.
